The Climate Change Global Lectures is a world-wide dialogue and exchange program created by ICCSD in the field of climate, and has recently become a specialized course offered by ICCSD for Tsinghua students.
ICCSD invites climate leaders from around the world to share the ideas of climate change issues and national responses, as well as to share actions and initiatives on how to advance global climate change governance. The lectures are broadcasted online and have reached an audience over hundreds of thousands of people.Know more
In September 2019, ICCSD held the Seminar on “the Belt and Road” Climate Finance sponsored by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the United Nations Green Climate Fund (GCF). It is the first South-South cooperation seminar on climate finance co-launched by national and international institutions. Officials, experts and technicians working in the field of climate change from nearly 30 developing countries and Belt-and-Road countries came to the seminar at Tsinghua University. The seminar aims to enhance climate financing capacity of developing countries. ICCSD will organize more climate change training programs in the future.Know more
In response to the urgent challenges presented by global climate change, universities are called on to play a critical role. This led to the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate (GAUC), initiated by Tsinghua University and co-founded by 12 world-renowned universities.
As the first university group of its kind, GAUC’s members include Australian National University, the University of California Berkeley, the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Tokyo, Tsinghua University, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the Indian Institute of Science, Sciences Po, and Stellenbosch University.Know more
Organized by ICCSD, the ‘Friends of the Paris Agreement’ High Level Dialogue serves as a non-governmental exchange mechanism that reunites people who have made important contributions to the Paris Agreement and its implementation rules.
